I'm so glad I finally got to see you in the ring! You are awesome! Let me know if you are having any more fundraisers - I'd love to help you out. Let's do another Thai lunch.
I am a female cage fighter who is working with Liz Merry to complete a documentary about my journey and experiences competing in the World Eskimo Indian Olympics in Fairbanks, Alaska in July of 2008.
As for my background-
*I wrestled for Chico State (most of my 11 matches were against men)
*I was a Golden Gloves Champion (amateur boxing)
*I was an IKF (International Kickboxing Federation) Bantamweight champion
I retired from all of the above due to some injuries, but I always wanted to get back into fighting.
After several years of healing, I felt like I could step back into the ring. But what I really wanted was to try UFC style fighting. I got so excited every time I watched a fight. I felt like I could do this- it's REAL fighting- a combination of boxing (my first love), kickboxing, wrestling and submissions. I always wanted to choke someone out- here was my chance!
I had my first fight in October of 2007, and it was a BLAST! I won and came out of the match fairly unscathed. I've had a few fights since then and am always looking for more.
